Volunteers pick fruit that is then donated to the food-insecure of San Diego through Feeding America San Diego or the San Diego Food Bank

40% of all food goes to waste, and 1 in 4 people in San Diego County is food insecure. Join other volunteers of all ages to glean (pick) fruit in backyard orchards for people in need. Together, we will help address the problem of hunger and waste in one sweet step!

Enjoy a fragrant morning gleaning fruit trees at various residential North County groves from 9am - 12pm picking fruit to be donated to an agency feeding people in the local community at no cost. Volunteers are asked to wear sturdy shoes as well as bring a water bottle, and will be provided with necessary equipment and orientation at pick location.

Sign up directly on our website https://producegood.volunteerhub.com/. Once you sign up as a volunteer you can register for available events in our calendar. Choose a date and location that works best for you. Please note you must register and sign a waiver to join us. Sharing has never been sweeter!
