This summer, the Parkinson's Foundation will host Moving Day: W Walk For Parkinson's event in Costa Mesa. Scheduled for Saturday, June 8th, 2019 in the plaza at the Segerstrom Center For the Arts, Moving Day OC has a goal of raising $65,000 and attracting an audience of 300+ people. This celebration of movement will feature a family-friendly walk course, refreshment tent, Resource Pavilion, and Movement Pavilion featuring exercise classes all proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms.
The Parkinson's Foundation is currently recruiting volunteers to help with set-up, registration, refreshments, course, clean-up etc. Volunteers can work appx 4 or 6 hour shifts between the hours of 6:30am and 2pm -- times will vary depending on availability and area assigned.
