Davis Co. RSVP will be hosting another one-hour event at Bountiful Community Food Pantry on Thursday, May 16 from 6:00-7:00 pm. We will once again assemble a group of 12 volunteers to provide whatever service the pantry requires at that time. In the past we have helped with sorting and categorizing food, sorting foods by expiration date, bagging potatoes, and sorting plastic bags for use by those who come to the pantry to obtain groceries. It's always a fun time and amazing to see what can be accomplished in a single hour.
This event is limited to 12 volunteers only. Interested volunteers MUST register as a participant prior to the event. Volunteer slots will be filled on a first-come, first served basis. Volunteers who have not previously enrolled as RSVP members will be required to complete our One-Time Event RSVP Enrollment Form.
We have found these single evening events to be a lot of fun. Invite your spouse or a friend and come join us!

Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.
Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
