Motorcycle Safety Crew for Bike MS: Tour de Farms June 23 & 24

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National MS Society, Greater Illinois

Come join an amazing group of volunteers and participants at Bike MS: Tour de Farms, June 23rd and 24th at the Kane County Fairground in St. Charles, IL.

The Motorcycle Safety Crew (MSC) provides safety and support for the bicycle riders, patrolling the routes, assisting riders and manning busy intersections. Unlike other motorcycle charity events, MSC members don't just ride. They also get off their bikes and act as "crossing guards," safely guiding bicyclists across busy intersections. Crew members spend about half their time riding and half their time on their feet at intersections.

The requirements for the MSC include:

  1. Wearing a DOT-approved helmet.
  2. Having a valid motorcycle driver’s license.
  3. Operating a street-legal, licensed and insured motorcycle.
  4. Providing a copy of your driver’s license and motorcycle insurance.
  5. Having sufficient motorcycle skills.
