Las Trampas supports adults with developmental disabilities in Lafayette, CA and we are searching for dedicated Board candidates with Digital Marketing, Social Media and PR expertise.
Job Description: Marketing, Social Media and PR Professionals Needed
Las Trampas seeks a marketing professional with experience in marketing communications, organizational messaging, branding, reputation, and organizational crisis and public relations management. We seek a leader to provide guidance and advise board and staff on the development and implementation of marketing and external communications to advance our mission.
We prefer a candidate who has familiarity with social media and emerging networking technology and the ability to help in connecting Las Trampas to media networks and partners who can identify and connect the organization to public relations opportunities to increase our reach. Experience creating and telling compelling stories on behalf of an organization or brand is a plus.
Board Member Responsibilities
Las Trampas is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that supports adults with developmental disabilities to discover their capabilities and to lead full lives in their home, at work, and in the community.
The Las Trampas Board of Directors is composed of leaders from the nonprofit and for-profit sector who are dedicated to the organization’s mission. Serving on the Las Trampas Board of Directors is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting adults with development disabilities to discover their capabilities and to lead full lives in their home, at work, and in the community.
Board members are expected to have financial acumen to read and understand Las Trampas’ financial statements and otherwise help the board fulfill its fiduciary responsibilities.
Board members are expected to attend 8 Board meetings per year. They are expected to read board materials in advance of board meetings and come prepared to ask questions and participate in discussions.
Board members are expected to serve on one or more committees of the board and to actively participate in committee work.
Board members are expected to play an active role in securing the financial resources necessary for Las Trampas to achieve its mission. Board members are expected to leverage personal relationships and connections to help the development committee and staff identify and solicit potential funders, as well as directly invest in Las Trampas’ work by making a personal contribution each year.
Board members are expected to responsibly represent Las Trampas to their respective communities and to advocate for Las Trampas’ mission, programs, and services as appropriate.
Board terms last for two years and board members can serve unlimited consecutive terms.
