WHY SHOULD YOUR STUDENT VOLUNTEER?
- Impact someone's life
- Make a difference
- Gain real-world experience
- Booster for college applications and scholarships
- It's FUN!!!
- .....it's a requirement for National Honor Society
Hello parents!
Is your high school or college student looking for a Volunteer opportunity for fun, or do they need Volunteer hours for National Honor Soceity or scholarships? Grace Hospice Volunteering is the opportunity for them!
There are a number of needing people that wish for comfort and companionship during their last journeys in life. Oftentimes family members live too far away for regular visits, or they are simply not able to provide the needed support. This is why hospice volunteering is so important.
Grace Hospice Volunteers fill this need by providing companionship and support with their presence. That's it; a visit or drop-in is all that's needed, all done at the convenience of our volunteers' schedules. Does your student sing, play the guitar or kazoo? Encourage them to share their talent.
We need volunteers in Summit, Stark, Portage, and Wayne counties. We'll match your student with someone close by, and their required commitment is for the amount of time THEY HAVE. It's a win-win for everyone.
To make this kind of difference, and to help your student gain real world skills, please contact Johanna Henderson, Volunteer Coordinator at Grace Hospice, at 330-899-0180 or jhenderson@ghospice.com.
Thank you!

Hospice is designed to provide comfort care as well as spiritual and emotional support in the final phase of a terminal illness. At HarmonyCares Hospice, we focus on enhancing the quality of life and our Volunteers play a key role in our mission. The hospice philosophy reaches beyond the physical needs of a patient and ensures that a patient spend their final days in comfort and with dignity.
