Support Veterans at the End of Life. For as little time as a lunch hour a couple of times a month, you can bring joy to a Navy Veteran. One hour is only ONE lunch break! Our Tallmadge facility patient would appreciate your valuable time, and as you know, Veterans like you are uniquely qualified in understanding the lived-experiences of a fellow Vet. As a HarmonyCares Hospice Volunteer, you will provide companionship and support simply by being present. That's it; a visit or drop-in is all that's needed, all done at the convenience of your schedule. We have an immediate need for a Veteran volunteers in Tallmadge, but have on-going needs in Akron, Canton, Wadsworth, Ravenna, and surrounding areas. We'll match you with someone close by, and your required commitment is for the amount of time YOU want and have to offer. It's a win-win for everyone. Medical, mental health, music, or fine arts students, you can get a jump on gaining critical patient experience. HarmonyCares Hospice Volunteers provide companionship and support to patients simply by dropping by and giving a bit of their time to deserving home or facility patients, and at the convenience of their own schedules. Are you interested in providing advocacy and friendly visits to our hospice patients in Summit County and Stark Counties? HarmonyCares Hospice, formerly Grace Hospice, is seeking Volunteers to provide companionship visits to our patients in Nursing facilities or at their home. You are the community involvement that they need! Training is provided and all background testing is paid for by HarmonyCares. PAMPER AN ALLIANCE-AREA FACILITY PATIENT! Our Alliance-area facility patient enjoys being pampered by having their nails painted and makeup applied. Who doesn't like relaxing and the gift of gab? A friendly visitor is sought to stop in as their schedule allows, including days, evenings, or weekends. Looking and feeling great is timeless. (All supplies provided).
