Lifetime Connections Without Walls (LCWW) is looking for virtual volunteers to facilitate telephone classes for our Summer Calendar (7/9/18-10/5/18). LCWW is a telephone-based socialization program that provides homebound or isolated older adults the opportunity to connect, learn, and have fun with others all from the comfort of their own home using their personal telephone.
Volunteering is done over the phone and computer and can be done anywhere. All you need is a smile, an internet connection, and a desire to work with others! Volunteer application and a background check required. Training will take place onsite at Family Eldercare's office in Austin, Texas or by skype.
We are currently looking for a volunteer to host a game of Guess Who. This game involves participants thinking of a famous person, and other participants figuring out the person in mind through a series of "yes/no" questions. The volunteer will oversee facilitating the call and updating volunteer database with notes. Volunteer commitment is an hour a week or a month for the 3-month session. Training and support provided.
