Solace Hospice AZ

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 1 person is interested

Solace Hospice would like to offer you a unique opportunity to serve. As a Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer, we need YOU to support and encourage Veteran hospice patients in your choice of locations across Maricopa County. No one can communicate a Veteran’s value and significance quite like another military veteran or active duty personnel.

We believe no Veteran should die alone. Do you? A truly uplifting opportunity to improve the quality of life by offering your friendship and time to a service man or woman embarking, in many cases, on their final deployment.

Veterans will share things with another veteran that they won’t share with anyone else, even family. Veterans are part of a distinct culture with their own common language and experience. Few people have had similar experiences except other veterans. Veterans can make a significant contribution by:

  • Presenting a Certificate of Service (only a Veteran can present)
  • Present Campaign Beads for combat Veterans
  • Assist Veterans in reminiscing and telling life stories
  • Assist in replacing lost medals
  • Assist in obtaining benefit information

If you want to learn how rewarding being a Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer can be, please contact Barb Lease at Solace Hospice 602-888-7037 to get started.
