About

Make a real difference in someone's life!

Great Lakes Caring Hospice, a leading care provider in the Midwest, is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families.

Great Lakes Caring Hospice is looking for Beauticians/Barbers who will visit patients in local nursing facilities or in private homes. The Beautician/Barber will provide hair care (washing, cutting, styling) to our hospice patients. These patients are at end-of-life care and if someone is able to wash, cut or style there hair, I believe would make them feel better somewhat even with there terminal diagnosis. There is no physical care involved. Hours are very flexible, weekdays, evenings or weekends. Typically, we ask that you visit your assigned patient 1-2 hours per week, but a minimum of 4 hours a month is required of any volunteer.

I would love to talk to you more about this if you would like to call me at 317-407-4210. My name is Heather Marsh and I am the Volunteer Coordinator at Great Lakes Caring.
