Join us in the park! Green Redmond volunteers will be working on removing invasive weeds to let the healthy forest thrive.
No experience is necessary and all ages are welcome. If you are 15 or under, please bring a responsible adult with you. Students and adults can earn service hours.
We provide gloves, tools, and instruction.
Time: June 20th, 12-2pm
What to bring: Wear sturdy closed-toed shoes that can get dirty, and dress for the weather in warm layers. This park does not have a bathroom (sorry!). Please plan accordingly.
Address: From the main entrance to Viewpoint Park is just south of the intersection of 185th Ave NE and NE 25th Way. It is tucked into a residential neighborhood, at the end of 185th Ave NE.

Mission Statement
Forterra's mission is to act with immediacy to protect, enhance and steward our region's most precious resources--its communities and its landscapes. Since 1989, we have been working toward a future in which our children and grandchildren can experience nature in and around our urban environments.
Description
Forterra conserves land by working with individuals, companies and local governments. We strive to maximize the ecological value of land, while meeting the needs of landowners. We may accept land as a donation, purchase it, or transfer it to public ownership. We often serve as a broker to identify and negotiate the most effective ownership to protect important lands. We establish conservation easements to preserve special features. For each and every property, we explore available strategies or create new ones to provide permanent protection. Forterra has established a Conservation Agenda for our region, with specific priorities and methods for each type of landscape. Current initiatives include the protection of working forests on the foothills of the Cascades, and the creation of salmon sanctuaries along our region's highest quality rivers and streams.
