City Dog 5k is an annual running event that consists of a 5k, 1 Mile Doggy Dash, and lots of great vendor/exhibitors, games, prizes, and speakers. It is a great community event for families, including their furrier members. We had our inaugural event on February 25, 2018 and are preparing for our next City Dog 5k on January 20, 2019. Check out www.citydog5k.com to see how fun it was!
We are looking to put together a team of individuals who can help plan this event starting now. We will need people to do fundraising, marketing, event planning, and volunteer and vendor coordination. All volunteers and their companies will have the opportunity to gain further visibility on our website, marketing efforts, and of course at the event if they would like.

Description
Human Animal Bonds for Life, Corp. is a non-profit organization under tax code 501C3. It was founded by Leby D. Gonzalez, owner and operator of Rocco’s Pack Dog Training, a force free dog training company located in North Miami offering private, group, day and board and train programs in Miami Dade County and some of Broward.
Realizing the need for education in modern day pet dog care, handling and training, HABL was founded with the intent to educate children, since they are the future and are most impactful.
In line with our mission and our vision, our two fundraising activities are City Dog 5K and City Dog Summer Camp. City Dog 5k is a 5k and 1 mile doggie dash that you can walk or run with your dog...and your kids, and your stroller, and just about anything else you can think of. City Dog Summer Camp is a 5 to 6 week children’s dog training summer camp, where kids ages 7 to 12 are paired with a rescue puppy to form a dog-handler team. Children learn force free ways to train and communicate with the puppies, while gaining valuable life skills and advocating for their puppy’s adoption. Puppies also benefit as they enjoy modern care and handling protocols. All puppies are available for adoption throughout the program.
We also have several smaller events throughout the year in which we advocate education and responsible dog ownership.
