GWBT Nonprofit is seeking grant writers to secure funding by writing grant proposals and providing support materials for our organization. Grant Writers will write coherent, organized, and compelling proposals. You will apply your knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach income goals. You will collaborate with team members in the organization to assist with other fundraising projects and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
Nonprofit grant writers prepare grant proposals, beginning by performing research. To develop their proposals, grant writers familiarize themselves with an organization's programs, goals and financial needs. They also look into potential funding sources. After compiling all the information they need, grant writers compose and send their proposals.
Grant writers must also keep careful records to track their proposals. If a grant-making organization requests additional information, nonprofit grant writers supply the missing items. Additional duties, which may include managing volunteers, working with an executive board, planning fund-raising campaigns and promoting the organization through public relations work.
Grant Writer Responsibilities:Develop relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders
Display adherence to GWBT mission
Maintain proficient knowledge of GWBT history and programs
Assist with the execution of the developing departments strategy
Identify grant funding opportunities
Writing, submitting, and managing grant proposals
Furnishing prospective funders with supporting documents
Collaborate with Founder and Team Directors to compile an annual report
Maintain records in hard copies and computer databases
Grant Writer Requirements:
2+ years of grant writing experience
Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals
Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel
Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines

Mission Statement
The purpose of Girls Who Brunch Tour, a 501c3 is to cultivate, inspire, and empower at risk girls between the ages of 9-17 years old. We provide vital tools needed through literacy, education, life skills, and health & wellness to help girls become leaders and difference makers in their communities! Through our Ambassador Recognition Program, teachers, counselors, parents, and mentors recommend girls who maintain a good GPA, display exceptional leadership qualities, and perform community services. Ultimately each Tour is facilitated by Ambassadors and Women who are considered leaders in their community.

Girls Who Brunch Tour, a non-profit organization has now been in existence for over a year and with the help of many others like us we have impacted many lives through education, empowerment, and feeding programs. Inspired by the organization Black Girls Rock, Girls Who Brunch Tour wants to be an outlet to display the achievements and the true definiton of Girl Power nationwide. As Girls Who Brunch Tour continues to strive to expand its programs and offerings to the communities we serve, we have committed ourselves on our national tour to promote education, literacy, and self-esteem in the inner cities of America.
