Position: Cat Intake Coordinator
Purpose: The Cat Intake Coordinator will identify cats that need rescue, coordinate their transport and assist in their intake, and when necessary, provide temporary housing for cats until they are placed in their foster home. This is a very important role requiring a committed volunteer who wants to make a difference!

As a member of the TCPR Cat Team, you will work with our various partners to identify cats to bring into our rescue as well as process owner surrender applications. You will work with our Foster Coordinators to match the incoming cats to an open foster and perform and/or arrange for transport of the cat for their intake examination or foster home. You will also be responsible for records management and working with other members of the TCPR Leadership Team to schedule intake exams.
A flexible schedule, reliable transportation, and phone and internet connection are needed. Must be comfortable with or willing to learn our records management database (Salesforce). Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work as a part of a team.
- A flexible schedule is best for this position, as many local shelters are only open during business hours Monday-Friday with limited hours on Saturday.
- The Cat Intake Coordinator will need to arrange or provide transport directly from the shelter to the foster OR
- The Cat Intake Coordinator will arrange or provide transport to our veterinary partner for an intake examination and then arrange or provide a temporary foster until the cat’s foster is available for transfer (often later in the day).
- This will be a shared role each with an approximately 1 hour/day online component, along with varied hours for weekly intake/transport.
