The Community Readiness Briefer educates our military community and their families through briefings that raise awareness about services provided by the local and national American Red Cross. Provide weekly briefings to Soldiers, family members, and civilians during the Schofield Barracks weekly Community
Readiness Expo. Briefers have the responsibility of educating our military community and their families about American Red Cross services available on a local and national level.
- Support & Communicate Red Cross Mission
- Be knowledgeable of all Red Cross programs and services
- Duties may include briefing military and civilian personal inprocessing and deploying from Schofield Barracks on Red Cross programs (group sizes can range from 10 - 2000 attendees), greeting clients, answering questions about the Red Cross Services to the Armed Forces and Emergency Messaging, educating the community about preparing for disasters, helping prepare handouts, flyers, and other briefing materials as needed, and assisiting with other duties as assigned
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to all Red Cross policies and procedures at all all times.
- Ensure that volunteer hours are tracked weekly
- Ensure that all materials for briefings are prepared and readily available
- Ensure that all briefing reports are completed and turned in by the 1st of each month
Qualifications
- American Red Cross background check
- Basic administrative skills
- Great Communication & Presentation Skills
- Customer Service Oriented
- Self Motivated
- Knowledgeable of PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation
- Some Knowledge of the Military Community
