ORGANIZATION: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research

We're gearing up for our 21st Annual LA Cancer Challenge and looking for AMAZING volunteers to be part of our Volunteer Committee.

Our first meeting will be held in June at our office located in West Los Angeles, we provide free parking, light snacks and refreshments :)

Our volunteer committee is a core part of our event! We're passionately engaged in the fight against pancreatic cancer and volunteering your time will help make this magical event the best one yet!

Our volunteer committee members are responsible for many of our fun activities on and off the course, we want you to be part of the planning and bring fresh fun ideas to the table. Committees in the past have helped with, social outreach, raffle prizes, and course entertainment.

Know before you join:

  • Volunteer committee meetings are held once a month until September and in October we will meet twice a month including a walkthrough of the venue in October
  • Volunteers are asked to give 2 hours of their time a week, most tasks can be accomplished at home, in the community over the phone or via email
  • If you cannot attend a scheduled meeting, no biggie - we will be more than happy to discuss another meeting date
  • We are ALWAYS available to discuss regular updates, answer questions, or provide guidance along the way
  • We're looking for volunteers, who are able to attend 50% of the meetings and are okay with soliciting donations

Description

The Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research is focused on finding a cure for pancreatic cancer, and empowering the patients and families whose lives are touched by this disease.
