The Blind Community Center of San Diego is looking for an experienced volunteer to teach a ceramics class. The class is held every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Do you have experience making simple clay pinch or coiled pottery pots? Do you have experience with green-ware, glazes and firing in a kiln? Our students need you. The time and day of class may be flexible.

Do you want to help people create clay and ceramic items and have fun? Do you like working in small groups or one-on-one with enthusiastic low vision and blind students? We are looking for a teacher and volunteer class assistants who will enjoy helping our students with ceramics projects.

Are you and artist who would like to share your time and enthusiasm for ceramics with our blind participants?
We have our own kiln, pouring and mold room and lots of molds.

If this opportunity sounds like fun, please email your interest and qualifications.

We are all volunteers at the center and are looking for cheerful, enthusiastic people to join our team.

Thank you
