Arduino is an open-source platform used for building interactive electronics projects leveraging both a physical programmable circuit board and a piece of software that runs on your computer used to write and upload computer code to the physical board.

We are looking for teaching assistants (TA) that are familiar with Arduino and can support the workshop leads in managing the classroom. Workshops will include 20-25 high school girls, 1-2 workshop leads, and 2 TAs each day. This role will include the following responsibilities:

-Full-day volunteer to be the main volunteer point of contact within each workshop

-Assist workshop leaders with any logistical tasks or teaching assistance they need

-Help girls troubleshoot issues as they create their projects

-Set up and clean up in-class activities

-Escort girls to/from breakout room and snack areas

-Facilitate conversations with girls during breakout time

TAs should be knowledgeable in the curriculum content and be comfortable troubleshooting issues and facilitating conversations with the girls throughout the day. It is preferred that the same individuals cover both days to maintain consistency for students and workshop leads so if only able to do one day, please let us know when signing up.
