Provide companionship to a hospice person on your lunch hour, weekends, or evenings!
For as little as one hour a week, you can bring joy to a homebound or facility hospice patient. One hour is only ONE lunch break, a long coffee break, or quick work out.
You can bring joy by providing companionship and support simply with your presence. That's it; a visit or drop-in is all that's needed, all done at the convenience of your schedule. Do you sing, play the guitar or kazoo? Share your talent. If not, just show up and do your thing.
We'll match you with someone in your preferred area, and your required commitment is for the amount of time YOU have and want to give. It's a win-win for everyone.
To make this kind of difference, contact Johanna Henderson, Volunteer Coordinator at Grace Hospice, at 330-899-0180 or jhenderson@ghospice.com.
Thank you!

Mission Statement
For each employee to treat every patient as their own treasured loved one, providing care that affords a quality of life that outweighs quantity of days, and supports caregivers as their hearts find healing.
Description
Hospice is the health care system that mandates the involvement of volunteers. This reflects the history of the hospice movement in the United States, which started as an all-volunteer system.
Hospice is designed to provide comfort care as well as spiritual and emotional support in the final phase of a terminal illness. At HarmonyCares Hospice, we focus on enhancing the quality of life and our Volunteers play a key role in our mission. The hospice philosophy reaches beyond the physical needs of a patient and ensures that a patient spend their final days in comfort and with dignity.
HarmonyCares Hospice volunteers are as diverse as our professional staff. Compassion and caring are the hallmarks of any great hospice volunteer, and their involvement is a vital part of our team.
