Public Art Reston is seeking volunteer writers, journalists, art historians, and graduate students to write articles about Reston’s public art collection and new artworks. Previous experience writing or with journalism, especially art historical or critical in nature, is preferred. Volunteers should be enthusiastic about writing and visual arts as well as be willing to visit the artworks and do some independent research to write the article. The volunteer will also need to own a personal computer for writing. Volunteers will receive information about the artworks and their history and the artwork’s site. Because of the time the organization will spend on orientation, volunteer must commit for at least one year.
Consider sharing your time and unique talents to educate the public about Reston’s public art collection and to fostering an interest in past and future public art projects in Reston.
All interested persons age 18 or over should send their resume and a letter of interest to info@publicartreston.org.

Public Art Reston works with community organizations and developers to commission permanent and temporary public art in Reston. Public Art Reston was founded in 2007 and is the first unincorporated community in the United States to have adopted a public art master plan - the "Public Art Master Plan for Reston". Public Art Reston also offers artists talks, documentary public art film screenings, community engagement activities.
