Mission Statement

Public Art Reston seeks to inspire an ongoing commitment to public art and create a new generation of artworks in Reston.

Description

Public Art Reston works with community organizations and developers to commission permanent and temporary public art in Reston. IPAR was founded in 2007 and is the first non incorporated community in the United States to have adopted a Public Art Master Plan. IPAR offers artists talks, documentary public art film screenings, community engagement activities, including chalk festivals - Chalk on the Water at Lake Anne Village Center (June) and ChalkFest at Reston Town Center (September).
