We are an assisted living facility in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood looking for volunteers interested in visiting with our residents on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday). You could bring a craft, hobby, games or puzzles with you or facilitate an activity like Trivia or Charades. Timing is flexible - morning or afternoon. You can commit to once a week, once a month, or the frequency that best fits your schedule. Come on your own or bring some friends with you! All ideas are welcome. We are a fun group!

Description

St. Augustine Health Ministries is a mission-driven, faith-based, not-for-profit organization affiliated with Catholic Charities and is dedicated to providing a continuum of health care and social services within our community. Within the Health Ministries, St. Augustine Health Campus cares for the chronically ill and aging through short-term rehab, assisted living, and long-term care. The St. Augustine Child Enrichment Center provides early education and child care for 80+ children, beginning at 6 weeks through preschool. Holy Family provides home health care, residential and community-based hospice services. Emerald Village Senior Living provides independent and assisted-living apartments located in the west suburbs for active seniors 55+.
