This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity and Associates are expected to put in a minimum of 5 hours per week and be responsive to emails within 2 days.

Associates must attend weekly/bi-weekly meetings as and when required.

Save the Water(tm) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water, and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. STW(tm) also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.

The Role:

Save the Water(tm) is seeking a Fundraising Associate, Corporate Sponsorship. If you are passionate about Fundraising and you relate to our organization’s goals, then become part of our organization. Reach out to us at newvolunteers@savethewater.org.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide utmost support and assistance to the project leaders and be a part of the Corporate Sponsorship Program.
  • Design, prepare, and implement Corporate Sponsorship applications.
  • Research and compile information on prospect donors.
  • Should have or ready to develop knowledge of fund development principles and public relations.
  • Coordinates fundraising strategies and is responsible for supporting major fundraising programs.
  • Assists in the development of fundraising goals and soliciting funds.
  • Helps to identify new potential donors and organizes initiatives to solicit funding.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Solid writing, editing, and presentation ability.
  • Flexible and able to respond to multiple demands.
  • Ability to work cooperatively, and to take initiative where appropriate.
  • Focused attention to detail and follow through.
  • Effective oral communication skills and a clear, courteous and professional manner.
  • May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent fundraising experience.
