Providing Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs) a transparent pathway to Naturalization.

Who: Volunteer (you)

What: Through this opportunity, you will lead/assist with the instruction of LPRs in preparation to apply and become a Naturalized U.S. Citizen. We will attain this goal by utilizing Civics materials provided by USCIS and through your engagement of creating weekly lesson plans directing the topics of the week.

Duties:

  • Creation and teaching of weekly lesson plans
  • 4/5 Assessments of Clients knowledge through this class
  • 1/2 Mock Interview with Clients
  • Participation in our Naturalization Workshop - providing clients and the community with free legal support in creating their N400 Application
  • Reliable and Responsible
When:
Duration: 12 Weeks (Aug 18 - Nov 3)
Time: 9am - 1:30pm (Saturday Commitment)
Size: ~15 clients

Where: Holy Innocents R.C. Church (Brooklyn, NY 11226)

Why: Many legal green card holders are taken advantage of by outside organizations, paying outlandish fees and receive no results. Through our class we are providing Application for Naturalization help through a BIA Accredited lawyer and through our class, you will aid clients in understanding U.S. History and Civics.

**Through our prior classes we have aided over 15 clients to become a Naturalized citizen with the help of completing their Application for Naturalization (N400), Civics and Citizenship Class, and Case Management.

Digamma Lambda Mu Inc. is a non-governmental organization founded on March 29, 2012, whose goal is to provide individual self-development and community growth through community developmental activities.

Located in New York City, we create and organize community development projects that improve the lives of immigrants, low-income families, and at-risk youths of the New York metropolitan area.
