Software Trainer

Program:

The Professional Development department provide trainings for staff and volunteers that help them in their day-to-day work and in their professional development.

Goal of Position:

To provide trainings for staff and volunteers that help them in their day-to-day work and in their professional development.

Benefits:

Increase their experience in developing and presenting trainings; the applause, recognition and appreciation of staff for making software more easily understood and readily usable by them.

Tasks/responsibilities:

• Provide an overview of the software training you plan to facilitate, develop class content taking student’s needs into consideration, create a class outline
• Create the class tools (eg PowerPoint slides, handouts, sample docs to use in class)
• Teach the class (convey the material in an easily understandable & practical manner, address multiple learning styles)
• Be willing to have the class recorded for future viewing

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude
• Good command and enunciation of the English language
• Patience

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Language requirement: Good command of English, easy to understand
• Subject matter experts on one or more of these software programs: Office 365, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Skype for Business.
• Volunteer has experience developing & presenting engaging, informative & practical software trainings
• Must agree to our Computer Use Agreement

Time Commitment:

1.5 hour trainings can be held M-F between the hours of 9-4:30. Volunteer can develop the training and presentation at any time.
