Jewish Family Services has an online "volunteer application" that is actually a way to collect information on the applicant and share it with a third party in order to obtain grants. I had asked JFS why it needed info such as date of birth (discriminatory), etc., info that I see as not needed and very private and it stated the answer above. I find this unethical, and JFS presents the statistical appl. as an actual volunteer appl. but are we sure it is that? Is there then another application one must fill out?

The Rides & Smiles program is absolutely wonderful! It's fun, flexible, and easy to sign up for rides that truly make a difference in the lives of seniors throughout San Diego. I highly recommend that anyone with an interest in volunteering sign-up for this program!

Recently I called JFS through AIS, I needed help for a computer table to be assembled. I was given your JFS fix it center a lovely lady called me back in a day and had some one to put my computer together! I was over the moon! I was prepared to pay something and said so the lovely lady said everything we do is free! Now I am a BLACK lady 71 years young and still some steam left so this kind act encouraged me to volunteer again. JFS you rock!!
