ORGANIZATION: Greater Cleveland Volunteers

Tutors help refugee learners with basic conversational skills and cultural connections.

An ESL teacher supports tutors by making digital and hands-on learning materials, activities, and a book
available, as well as working with tutors to plan appropriate lessons for their specific learners. The
lessons take place in the family home.

Qualifications: We are looking for volunteers who are motivated, compassionate, and committed to
welcoming refugee families to our community. Prior experience or exposure to working with people
from different cultures is a plus. Knowledge of the social and cultural norms of our society, as well as
the academic system, is of tremendous value as well

Commit just 2 hours per week during weekdays and weeknights!
