Position:

Arts and Crafts Teacher

Do you want to share your passion for arts and crafts with others in a fun environment? Volunteer to lead an art class for seniors living at Harper Crossing in Berkeley! We are looking for a volunteer to lead the class on Monday or Tuesdays one hour between 10am and 4pm.

You will give our residents a creative outlet to express themselves and teach them new artistic skills while fostering community. The volunteer will prepare activities for each day’s class, give the residents instructions or guidelines for the activity, and work with residents one-on-one if needed, maintaining the balance between giving them independence and support.

If you're looking to make a difference in your community, this is a wonderful opportunity to gain teaching experience with students who are eager to learn and share your passion for art.

Requirements: Ongoing SAHA Community Volunteers must commit to volunteer once a week for a minimum of 4 months, and must complete a volunteer orientation, volunteer forms and background screening prior to beginning their placement.
