Compassionate Care Hospice is seeking qualified volunteers to work in a variety of areas within our organization. Volunteers are trained and work with our interdisciplinary plan of care to provide quality care to our patients and families. Volunteer positions include: Patient care: Provide emotional support and practical assistance which enhances the comfort and quality of life for patients/families/caregivers. These services include companionship, listening, being present, preparing meals, and running errands like picking up prescriptions and grocery shopping. Bereavement support: Provide counseling and bereavement support to family and caregivers. Office support: Provide assistance in administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, assembling packets and assist with mailings. Professional services: Provide additional therapies such as art, music, pet, or holistic treatments. Volunteers offering professional services must provide a current licence.

Our goal is to enable patients with a terminal illness to have an alert, pain-free life and to manage symptoms regardless of their ability to pay. Volunteers are the heart of our care, all volunteers are screened and trained for both providing a presence with our patients as well as office assistance. Our patient services include:
