Why We Do the Work We Do
Sugar and Salt were surrenders to CAS, and adopted into their forever, loving home

This team is the backbone of CAS and what it accomplishes. Working in the CAS office, team members assist with responding to calls and emails asking our assistance with surrender, adoption, resource referral, and information regarding dogs and cats. They also help out with a variety of office tasks. Examples of opportunities for you as a team member include:

  • Responding to calls and emails on our Animal Help and Adoption Network
  • Assisting in expanding network resources of dog and cat rescues, shelters, veterinary services, trainers, day care & boarding, and other pet-related services
  • Responding to initial inquiries from potential pet adopters
  • Facilitating the beginning, administrative process for surrenders and adoptions
  • Assisting with office work and other special administrative projects

We encourage people who live in Mercer and Bucks Counties, and the surrounding areas to apply. Only volunteers who live in the US will be considered at this time.

About The Crossings Animal Society, Inc.

Location:

1083 Taylorsville Road, Suite 3, Washington Crossing, PA 18977, US

Mission Statement

The mission of The Crossings Animal Society is to ensure a loving home and quality care for every dog and cat in our community.

Description

Located in Bucks County, PA, we also help dogs and cats in Mercer and Hunterdon counties in NJ, as well as in other nearby locations.

Our approach is to work with rescue and animal welfare organizations, shelters, veterinarians, trainers, and animal lovers like you to become a no-kill community. Having a no-kill community means that we save 95-98% of all dogs and cats, regardless of age or "adoptability".

We work in two ways to fulfill our mission: (1) our "United Paw" programs that directly assist dogs and cats, and (2) building the area's first no-kill dog and cat sanctuary.
