Volunteers are happiness at the door! They are compassionate friends willing to give time to another.
Our volunteers participate as full members of the professional Interdisciplinary Team caring for our patients and families. We are seeking volunteer companions who can provide friendly visits that improve the quality of life at end of life.
Volunteers are "non-medical" companions who can read a story, hold a hand, share photos or sit quietly enjoying a good piece of music. Volunteers know how and when to touch, to laugh, to cry, to listen and when to encourage.
Whether it is a friendly visit for companionship and socialization, assistance with memory support, emotional support or simply a quiet presence, our volunteers are ready to help. They are a friend with no agenda other than improving the quality of life for those they visit.
Volunteer assignments are based on availability. There is no minimum number of hours to complete. Assignments are close to home or work. Training is free!
