Health Imperatives

At Health Imperatives, we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality, confidential, and affordable health care.

At our 8 Sexual and Reproductive Health clinics, we offer birth control, pregnancy testing, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), rapid Hepatitis C and HIV testing, reproductive health exams including cancer screenings, and colposcopy exams at our nine reproductive health clinics. All services are offered confidentially to teens and adults.

We offer services to individuals of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, languages, and disabilities. Services are provided by licensed medical professionals and trained counseling staff in Spanish, Portuguese, and Cape Verdean Creole.

Volunteer Project: We are looking for 1-2 individuals to spend a few hours/week helping us with a filing project. All of our medical records and charts must be alphabetized, labeled, and boxed since we are now using a 100% electronic system! This is a great project for someone hoping to learn more about medical record-keeping, or with an interest in assisting a community-centered health and human services non-profit that provides services for sexual and reproductive health, among other areas. Prior to your start, we'll ask you to complete a HIPAA training to ensure confidentiality.
