Are you the type of person who:
- has ever been a volunteer for a political campaign, or has professional experience in government or community relations
- loves communicating via social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
- enjoys meeting new people, particularly government or community officials
- optimistic attitude and energy
- passionate about providing support for those with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers
- passionate about research for a cure for Alzheimer's
The Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM) advocacy committee is responsible for recruiting new Alzheimer's Impact Movement members and advocates from all sectors of the community. This group will have a significant presence at the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer's taking place on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at Town Square.
Specific goals:
- become educated on AIM efforts and be able to present information about those efforts to others
- recruit advocates and AIM members on Walk Day
- act as lead for large group of volunteers on Walk Day assigned to sign up walkers for AIM communications

The Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is a charitable organization governed by a local board of directors. While we are an affiliate of the National Alzheimer's Association based in Chicago, all our work is devoted to providing service and support to Alzheimer's patients, family members and caregivers throughout Nevada.
