1.) Food Pantry Data Entry Volunteer
Summary: The Food Pantry Data Entry Aide will perform a variety of tasks depending on project deadlines in the Open Arms Community Food Pantry. This will include providing data entry applications and client profiles, and other tasks as assigned by the Food Pantry Manager. This position helps to extend the resources in Open Arms Community Outreach to better assist and direct the needs of our clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Input collected data into appropriate computer database Maintain client records. Ensure that all data is accurately entered Review all information entered and make corrections when necessary. All other duties as assigned.
Requirements: 11th - 12th Grade High School Student preferred, College Student, or High School /College Graduate with Excellent oral and written English skills. Must be dependable and punctual. Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner. Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public. Respect and maintain confidentiality of OACPs volunteers, partners, donors, and clients. Strong typing and computer skills, able to operate telephone, PC, copier, and other basic business equipment. Knowledge of general business/accounting practices.
Training & Supervision: Attends general volunteer orientation completes a program orientation which includes training on the following items: Filing system Database tutorial, Training and supervision conducted by: Food Pantry Manager or designated trainer
Time Commitment: Days: 1. Mondays & Tuesdays 2. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays Time: 1. 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm 2. 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Benefits: Knowledge that you are working as part of a team to help others in need. Work experience. *Teacher Works days, call or email if willing to volunteer outside pantry hours of operation.

Description
Open Arms Community Outreach is the only food pantry in Union County serving the city of Monroe and the rest of North Carolina, as well as Lancaster County in South Carolina. We began in the town of Wingate with a vision of providing enough food to 50 families per month. January 2017-December 2017 Open Arms Food Pantry & Volunteers served 18,279 Individuals.
