Mission Statement

Open Arms Community Outreach's mission is to fight hunger and change the face of hunger one stomach at a time, to help ensure that no one goes hungry in the city of Monroe, North Carolina, and surrounding areas in Union County. By offering a variety of services, we would like to support and better our community with strong healthy bodies and minds. Ultimately, we are promoting self-sufficiency and the end of hunger cycle in the community, which we work to live in and thrive.

Description

Open Arms Community Outreach is the only food pantry in Union County serving the city of Monroe and the rest of North Carolina, as well as Lancaster County in South Carolina. We began in the town of Wingate with a vision of providing enough food to 50 families per month. January 2017-December 2017 Open Arms Food Pantry & Volunteers served 18,279 Individuals.
