BECOME A SCIENCE OLYMPIAD COACH!

Do you have just 90 minutes a week, just after school, to help a high school team compete in the Massachusetts Science Olympiad?

Each year, Cambridge public high school students prepare for and participate in this competition, an academic "track meet "with over 20 individual team events in such areas as genetics, earth science, chemistry, anatomy, physics, mechanical engineering, and technology: https://www.soinc.org/about.

Cambridge School Volunteers is seeking people with knowledge of STEM fields to mentor one or two team members in developing their skills for the competition. The requirement for mentors is a minimum of 90 minutes, one afternoon a week, from December until mid-March. Some (not all) mentoring can take place remotely, e.g., by email, rather than in-person. The day-long Massachusetts Science Olympiad, to which coaches are invited but are not required to attend, will be held on March 23, 2019, at Framingham State University.

To become a Science Olympiad advisor for the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School team, you must contact us and complete registration forms prior to our kickoff event on December 4, 2018.

We hope you can join us!
