A SORTER POSITION AT UPSCALE NON-PROFIT STORE

Do you like fashionable clothing and would you like to determine which donations are suitable for this upscale non-profit and which ones will be donated to other non-profits? Then you will love this volunteer position! You will be treated as a valuable team member, properly trained and supervised, listened to and have a part in planning, and be recognized for your accomplishments. Do you have at least 4-5 hours to volunteer each week?

A typical shift would include sorting through donated items, deciding what is suitable for the shop and what will be donated, what needs to be repaired, then place items on hangers and the final step of putting them on the rack for pricing, ironing or steaming. And as a volunteer, you will receive a discount on items that you purchase!

Are you 55 years of age or older? Would you like to help and improve your community? Then you are a perfect candidate for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)!

As an RSVP volunteer, you are strengthening the positive impact people 55 and older have in our communities. You will also meet nice people, have fun and feel good about your contribution. Our focus is to incorporate meaningful volunteer opportunities that provide purpose and a way to give back to the community

RSVP is part of a national network of programs called Senior Corps that recruits adults 55 and older to use their talents and life experience to help meet community needs through volunteer service. Last year Pierce County volunteers served 89,000 hours...what a positive effect this has in the community!

RSVP is sponsored by Lutheran Community Services Northwest, a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of the people it serves.
