Duties: The Customer Service Representative (CSR) assist in TrainTopia. TrainTopia is the epicenter of the Museum’s activity. Here, guests purchase tickets for TrainTopia and the walking tours. The CSR checks guest in and provides brief orientation about the exhibit and tours. They also provide general information in person and over the telephone. Other responsibilities may include light cleaning, ringing up merchandise sales, and helping with retail restock.

This position involves direct contact with customers and at times may be very busy. The environment can be loud with many visitors enjoying the model trains. The CSR works under the supervision of the Director of Programs/TrainTopia supervisor.

Museum staff and senior volunteers will provide training and a tour of the museum’s rolling stock collection to help you become more familiar with our organization.

Description

Programs and historical interupratations are desinged to provide a better understanding of the railroad's role in the settlement of the nation, spread of cultures, development of industry, and their relationship to local history. This is accomplished, in part, through stewardship of the museum's priceless collection of rolling stock, structures, and other railroad related artifacts which are held as cultural assests for the benefit of the community.
