Our nonprofit needs help getting things set up for the programming volunteers who contact us. We know we want to use agile development, and we already have an account on Slack.com with a good half dozen programming volunteers who're ready to start making things happen now; all that's missing is to set things up for them.
We have a programming expert who's able to pitch in a little time here and there but he's got a family and could really use a hand getting everything set up. The skills he's looking for in particular are:
Any major rdbms like postgresql or MySql
Theoretically we wouldn't even need that much time or effort from you, just what it takes to get things set up for the other volunteers. Obviously it'd be great if you wanted to stay and keep contributing, I'm just saying this is an situation where even contributing a little bit might help our little nonprofit out a lot.
All we want to do is provide excellent information technology to the public. To be more precise, a way in which all people's options can be listed side by side, so people can make better decisions, and good ideas can spread faster. We're also making tools that can democratize parts of cultures and languages themselves. There's basic demo posted on Mockup.Lawgen.Org which is also posted on our predevelopment site Lawgen.Org -which unfortunately isn't smartphone friendly. But it is interactive, and gives you a better sense of what hypertext icons and 'layers' can do than I can using text.
That said I'm also happy to take questions at TheLawgenProject@Gmail.com - or skype.
*I also happen to blow glass and if you could help us get things set up for the other volunteers it would be more than worthwhile for me to send you a custom, hand made glass piece. I can do art or functional stuff, let me know if that sounds interesting to you.
