The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. Have you always thought about being a hospital gift shop volunteer? Now is your chance! Davis Hospital will be adding several new gift shop volunteers, age 55 and greater.
Most volunteers serve one 4-hour shift weekly. The hospital provides a free meal at the cafeteria with each shift volunteered. Monday - Friday shifts include: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm 12:300pm - 4:00 pm
Volunteers commit to a total of 80 volunteer hours, which with a 4-hour weekly shift would equate to 5-6 months.
All volunteers will be required to pass a drug screen, 2-step TB test, background check, and immunization check. Volunteers also will attend a New Employee Orientation, Volunteer Orientation (brief), and a position-specific training.
This opportunity is offered through Davis Co. retired & Senior Volunteer Program and is for people age 55 or more. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP includes:
