Best Friends is looking for a few people to assist with our State Animal Welfare Research volunteer position. This is an impactful volunteer opportunity that you can do for a few hours a week from the comfort of your home.

Volunteers in this position will be will be assisting in establishing a community-level database of shelter, rescue group, and community information to help Best Friends understand where dogs and cats are dying across the country. This critical work will enable us to directly target our programs to save the lives of the most at-risk animals and guide our work toward achieving No-Kill by 2025. Interested volunteers should have a computer with internet access and Microsoft Excel, and must have fine attention to detail as well as confidence with numbers and accuracy with data entry.

Currently, we are looking for volunteers living in the following states: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, Minnesota, Missouri, and South Dakota.
