ORGANIZATION: Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver

(for male adult volunteers; short-term)

You’ll join other adult volunteers once a week for 7-8 weeks to mentor a group of boys about healthy living (physical and emotional health).

Through non-traditional physical activities, along with healthy eating information, participants are engaged in life skills, communication and emotional health discussions, designed to engage participants in the pursuit of life-long healthy lifestyles. Sessions are structured around four themes:

  • Physical activity
  • Healthy eating
  • Self-esteem
  • Communication skills
