Through fun physical activities and active play, complemented with balanced eating support and snacks, participants are engaged in life skills, communication, and social-emotional health discussions to encourage a life-long healthy lifestyle. This program provides youth Mentees with information and support to make informed choices about a range of healthy lifestyle practices. Sessions are structured around four themes: Physical Activity Balanced Eating Social-Emotional Learning Communication Skills Who can be a Mentor? Male, trans, and gender diverse individuals who are 18+. Inclusive and welcoming of Mentors of all sexual orientations. Reliability, consistency, dedication, and respectfulness of others. What are the requirements? Can commit to two 8-week programs, over two school terms. Available to meet weekly for 90-minute sessions. Who are the Little Buddies? Boys, trans, and gender diverse children and youth in grades 4-7. Will benefit from building self-confidence and learning how to practice healthy lifestyle choices. Locations: Surrey, White Rock, Delta, Richmond, Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, New Westminster, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby and Vancouver

Our Big Brothers Community Program pairs you with a Little Brother based on personality and personal interests to build a supportive one-to- one relationship based on trust, connection, and fun! Our matches spend two or more hours once per week doing free or low- cost activities they enjoy most. Our matches are paired for a minimum of one year. Our Big Brothers are Male, trans, and gender diverse individuals who are 18+. Reliable, consistent, able to express care and expand possibilities. Our Little Brothers are Boys, trans, and gender-diverse children and youth ages 7 to 14. Those who would benefit from having a positive role model in their life. NOW IS THE TIME TO VOLUNTEER! SOME OF OUR LITTLES HAVE BEEN WAITING MORE THAN 2 YEARS FOR THEIR BIG BROTHER. Locations: Surrey, White Rock, Delta, Richmond, Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, New Westminster, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby and Vancouver. Benefits: Have fun, de-stress, and feel like a kid again! We organize fun activities year-round like water-skiing, sailing, and wall-climbing. Whenever possible, our organization provides activity ideas and free tickets and admission vouchers to Big and Little Brothers. Our Mentoring With Math Program aims to support families who are not otherwise able to financially pursue academic support opportunities outside of school. This program is designed to strengthen the impact of tutoring by adding in the element of mentorship. Learning from a Mentor as a positive role model encourages self-esteem and confidence-building for the Mentees as they work through math problems together. Snacks, math workbooks, and other supplies are provided. Who can be a Math Mentor? Adults 18+, inclusive of male, female, trans, and gender diverse individuals. Inclusive and welcoming of Mentors of all sexual orientations. Reliability, consistency, dedication, and respectfulness of others. What are the requirements? Minimum 10-week commitment Available to meet weekly Monday to Thursday between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM for 90-minute sessions. Programs offered in-person every 3-4 months in Surrey, Burnaby, Vancouver, and Coquitlam. Who are the Little Buddies? Children in grades 3-7 who demonstrate a need for assistance in math at their grade level Locations: In-person and virtual options available. Volunteers in Surrey needed! How does the program work? Children in grades 3 - 7 are able to attend Mentoring with Math sessions each week for 90 minutes. For the first part of the session, volunteers will use a variety of techniques based on the principles of the JUMP Math numeracy program to encourage an understanding and love of math. The second part of each weekly session will encourage students in the program to interact with one another through a number of games and activities.

Our In-School Mentoring Program pairs you with one elementary school student who you share common interests with. Matches spend one-hour once per week together on school grounds doing non-academic activities such as playing sports, games, creating art or just hanging out at the playground. Our matches are paired for the duration, or remainder, of the academic school-year. Our Big Buddies are Adults aged 18+, inclusive of male, female, trans, and gender diverse individuals. Mentors who Little Buddies can talk to, learn from, and share experiences with. Our Little Buddies are Students grade 1 to 7 nominated by teachers, staff or by themselves. Children who could use a bit of extra 1-on-1 attention, need to build confidence, or may have trouble connecting with peers.
