The Elephant Sanctuary Volunteer Project is located in a vast forest reserve in the Eastern part of Cambodia. Here, elephants retired from the tourism and trekking industry are roaming the forests freely and without disturbance from people. Volunteers will be able to learn about all resident elephants during their stay by observing them from a distance. This will be done in combination with other volunteer activities, including reforestation projects, planting seeds and looking after the nursery, farming and construction work. No riding, feeding or swimming with elephants are taking place, and it is a great project for those who want to be sure that they are supporting a true ethical elephant sanctuary in Asia
