Mission Statement

To provide clothing and fundamental necessities to low-income students in Hillsborough County Public Schools to ensure their personal and academic success.

Description

  • OASIS provides essentials to at-risk and low-income students in need through their school social workers
  • Items provided include: gently used clothing, new uniforms, socks & underwear, shoes, hygiene items, alarm clocks, emergency food assistance, and school supplies
  • 3 full-size clothing sites serving homeless and low-income students

The acronym OASIS stands for Outreach Assisting Students In Schools. This non-profit organization was specifically developed as a unique and effective way of directly distributing donations of children's personal items to public school kids in need of assistance. Direct communication and cooperation with school based social workers and other school representatives make this effort possible.

The OASIS Opportunities brings these entities together to form a unique partnership, one that allow students to overcome barriers to consistent school attendance and academic success. We believe that all students deserve equal access to the tool they need to fully engage in their education and realize their potential to become exceptional members of our community.
