ORGANIZATION: NAMI San Fernando Valley

NAMI SFV

Looking for a super organized, multi-tasking pro to oversee logistical operations for all our organization's training. You will ensure the dates, times, and locations of onsite and web-based training are accurate and all relevant committees and people are aware.

When training is supposed to happen, you will ensure the facility is prepared with supplies, food and audio-video equipment. You will also ensure food is ordered and available for trainers and trainees.

You will research the teacher and support group facilitator training, among others, available in our national, state, and local affiliates within the NAMI organization. You will make stakeholders inside and outside of the organization aware of training opportunities.

We will train you and give you direction as you create your own committee of volunteers.

Mission Statement

NAMI SFV aims to build a close-knit community to support, advocate for, and educate anyone affected by mental illness.

Description

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

Started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979, NAMI has blossomed into the nation's leading voice on mental health. Today, NAMI is an association of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations and volunteers who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need. NAMI relies on gifts and contributions to support its important work.
