The Lace Museum is looking for a volunteer who is willing to do basic sewing for display and storage. Most of this will be machine sewing. The museum has a machine which you can use, your can bring your own machine to the museum or many of the tasks can be done at your home with your own machine. Much of the sewing will be home decor - curtains, pillow covers, dust covers and the like. Possibly some under-linings, slips and etc. to go under lace garments to be displayed. Some repair work for items to be sold in the gift shop. The hours are flexible and the museum is willing to work with you to find the right balance, but you must be available at least part of one weekday a month to meet with museum staff.
