To preserve the art of lace making, to exhibit lace and its historical use and to offer instruction in all facets of lace making.
The Lace Museum is a small, all-volunteer museum located in Sunnyvale, California. It has changing exhibits of lace, lace making tools and other textiles. Tours are offered for individuals and small groups. The collection consists of over 10,000 pieces of lace, costume and lace making tools. Workshops are given for beginning to experienced lace makers. And programs are offered to youth and school groups to introduce the art of lace making. A small shop located at the museum helps to support programming.
