Scope of the Role:

In-Kind Donation Manager will work individually and as a team member with TEDxSeattle to identify, solidify and finalize all TEDxSeattle’s in-kind donations. He/she will also oversee and assist with day-of activities in November 2019, McCaw Hall, Seattle.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Research and connect with potential and existing in-kind event partners in the greater Seattle region based on TEDx sponsorship requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with these partners
  • Leverage our existing network in collaboration with the TEDxSeattle team and the Partnership team
  • Communicate with TEDxSeattle team leads about your progress.
  • Document, deliver and track progress based on agreements with in-kind partners
  • Evaluate in-kind after the event and send thank-you notes

Approx. Hours per Week: 5 in the winter and spring; 3-10 in the fall leading up to Nov. event.

Qualifications & Personal Characteristics:

  • Organizational skills
  • Communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • The ability to work independently, and remotely as well as part of a larger team
  • Previous sales, account management, or relationship management experience is preferred.
  • A strong connection to the TEDx brand
  • Eye for detail

About TEDx Seattle TEDxSeattle is one of the first TEDx events offered in the world, and is our region’s premier TED-style event as well as the largest in Washington State. Our premiere event is usually hosted at McCaw Hall, where we guide 2,800 people through a series of TED talks, audience activities, and lobby experiences over the course of a day. We also produce a series of smaller TEDx events around Seattle during the year.

TEDxSeattle is a volunteer-based organization that strives to spread ideas worth sharing. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxSeattle, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxSeattle event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
