The Melanoma Education Foundation is a non-profit public charity that provides life-saving services throughout the U.S. At last count our melanoma lessons were being used in over 1700 high schools and middle schools in all 50 states. The lessons educate students and teachers about early self-detection of melanoma, a skin cancer that is often fatal unless found at an early stage. Lives of students, teachers, and their family members have been saved because of the lessons. Watch our 3-minute introductory video at < https://www.melanomaeducation.net >.

Melanoma Warriors are volunteers who earn community service credit by confirming whether teachers in our database are still at their schools. We provide an Excel spreadsheet with school names, web addresses, teacher names, email addresses and detailed instructions for updating the information and entering it in an XL spreadsheet. Each spreadsheet has 60 high schools and/or middle schools. Volunteers have 7 days to complete each spreadsheet and have the option of continuing with additional spreadsheets if they wish.

No fundraising, selling, or phone calls are involved. The work can be done anytime during days, evenings, and weekends. Volunteers have been able to get the information for 60 schools in 4 hours or less. We ask volunteers to keep track of their actual hours so we can verify them in community service confirmation letters.
